Hey guys,
with quiggs, we had the consultation meeting with our Oncologist who confirms the tumor and recommends addressing that first and quickly. They did throw out clinical options at UC Davis such as:
Limb Sparing Procedure and Insertion of metal rod for leg suuport, but with increased complication possibilities
SRT, focus radio therapy to the tumor to kill it but risk weakening the leg as well.
We havent ruled out the standard procedure of amputation + chemo either, but I am of the opinion if we do decide on amputation we may chance a clinical trial to maybe extend his life. UC Davis is currently offering, at owners expense.
